STUDY FILMMAKING, ACTING FOR FILM, AND MORE IN DEGREE & SHORT-TERM PROGRAMS
Located at Battery Park—just across from the Statue of Liberty—the New York campus immerses you in one of the entertainment capitals of the world. Students participate in hands-on production workshops using state-of-the-art equipment, creating their own films and projects.
NYFA instructors are working actors, writers, directors, and producers—veterans of Hollywood, independent film, and television. From editors on Oscar-winning films to stars of Broadway, you'll be learning from the best in the business.
NYFA is the proud sponsor of many film festivals across the country, providing once-in-a-lifetime experiences for students, and special support to local film communities. From hosting student screenings with the New York Film Festival, to offering free and discounted student tickets to festivals like Newfest and Nordic International Film Festival, students are supported at the ground level of festivals for submitting their films and creating relationships that will benefit their careers.
NYFA'S degree programs offer premiere film, media, and performing arts training through accredited degrees in numerous areas of study, at campus locations in New York City (NYC), Los Angeles (LA), and South Beach, Miami.
Upon completion of a degree program, students will have built a holistic set of skills that includes the major aspects of their craft, gaining an enormous amount of hands-on experience, and creating original work of their own.
